MISS GREG DAVID

MISS GREG DAVID •

Entering the art space as a musician, the Tuba gave them their love of epic sounds and visually visceral concepts. Every phase of art making has been directly rooted to human emotions, inner dialogues, and personal experiences. Their creations seek to make physical, tangible, and visual representations through movement and world-making to personify the phenomena that happen inside all of our minds.

Through choreography, storytelling, world making, and improvisation, their goal continues to be to invite audiences in as they provide a window to see more for themselves, and a mirror to see more within themselves.

Their work and film has been commissioned by Dance Place in Washington, DC, Tariq O’Meally’s BlackLight Summit, and shown at Kennedy Center’s The REACH. They were also the inaugural awardee of the HAUS AWARD in 2021 from haus of bambi, recognizing DMV-based LGBTQ+ artists for work exploring the complexity of queer identity.
